Hand Therapy

CHN Rehabilitation has a Certified Hand Therapist to deal with those injuries of the upper extremity or hand. Hand Therapists have significant experience and training in injuries of the upper extremity. The Therapist works closely with the individual's physician to provide quality care and meet their individual needs.

Some conditions that may be treated include but are not limited to: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or post-op care, nerve injuries, tendonitis, arthritis, fractures (surgical or non-surgical), elbow bursitis, amputations, tendon repairs, replantation & joint replacement.

Treatments may include scar massage, adaptive equipment training, joint and soft tissue mobilization, edema management, custom splinting, modalities for pain management and developing a home exercise program.

A physician referral is required for an evaluation and the establishment of a treatment plan. Hand Therapy Services are offered at a variety of settings throughout CHN, such as inpatient and outpatient at the Berlin Memorial Hospital and outpatient clinics in Wautoma and Ripon.
